Christine Marie L. Magpile is an editor, translator, creative writer, and teacher.

Magpile finished Bachelor in Secondary Education at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), major in history. She has completed her academic requirements for her Master of Arts in Counseling degree at the De La Salle University and is currently pursuing a degree in Master of Arts in Araling Pilipino at the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she is also a research associate.

A translator and writer of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry, Magpile’s work has garnered recognition from the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino and the Propesyonal na Asosasyon ng mga Tagapagtaguyod ng Salin.

She was also a fellow in various workshops, such as the Linangan, Imahen, Retorika, and Anyo in 2007, the UST National Writers Workshop in 2008, the Angono Writers' Summer Workshop and the Kataga Workshop in 2018, and in the La Salle Kritika National Workshop on Arts and Cultural Criticism in 2019.

Magpile is a member of Kataga - Quezon City, Freelance Writers Guild of the Philippines, as well as the Society Filipino Film Reviewers.
