Regine Cabato is a journalist and poet from Zamboanga City.

She finished her Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2016, where she received the Loyola Schools Award for the Arts for poetry. In 2019, she won the grand prize for poetry in English in the 69th Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.

Several of her poems have been published in numerous journals and folios, such as Kritika Kultura, Cordite Poetry Review, TLDTD, Philippine Humanities Review, and Asian Cha, among others.

Cabato is currently the Manila reporter for the Southeast Asia bureau of the Washington Post.
