Jobert Landeza

Prof. Jobert Landeza is a writer, actor, and director on stage from Pilar, Sorsogon.
He became a contributor to some of the NCCA’s published books such as the Pitong Pintig Pantig at Pagitan, Suró: Teatro sa Bikol sa Panahon kan Pandemya, Agwat-Hilom 2, and the latest anthology of Gawad Bienvenido Lumbera where he won third prize for Maikling Kwento sa Bikol.
Last April 2024, Lampara Books also published his winning short story for children—Mamay Esing.
He is a Junior Member of the Albay-based art collective, Sining Banwa and the founding artistic director of the community-based theater group— Tanghalang Artikulo. He annually mounts new plays for both of his groups as a commitment to his love for Bikol Theater. His plays namely Mamay Esing (2019), Titser Kit (2020-2021), and Mommy G (2025) had also made it to the highly acclaimed Virgin Labfest of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
He is currently working as a full-time faculty member of Bicol University College of Arts and Letters Department of Performing Arts-Theater.
