Glenn Ford B. Tolentino earned his BA in Mass Communication, major in Journalism, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing, leading to a PhD in Literature, at De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines.
He has received writing fellowships from ABS-CBN TV Academy, Ricky Lee Scriptwriting for Tv and Film; Palihang Rogelio Sicat, University of the Philippines Diliman’s Institute of Creative Writing and Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas; The Cordillera Writers’ Workshop, University of the Philippines-Baguio City; and the UST Writers’ Workshop, University of Santo Tomas Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies. He also completed a Creative Writing Certificate Course, “The Art of Poetry and Music,” offered by Boston University through the U.S. Embassy in Manila (May 11, 2016).
His works have appeared in UST University Press, Ateneo de Naga University Press, the Palihang Rogelio Sicat Poetry Anthology, KATHA Fiction Anthology, Liwayway Magazine, Philippines Graphic Magazine, ANI Journal of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, TLDTD Journal, Rappler Online Magazine, Literary Tuesdays: Mountain Beacon, Bulatlat Online Press and other publications.
A founding member of the Tres-Siete Poet Society and a member of the Neo-Angono Artists Collective—as a researcher, writer, and filmmaker. He currently serves as Science Research Specialist II, technical desk editor, and writer for the NRCP Research Journal at the DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), and as an associate member of NRCP’s Humanities Division XI. He lives and works in Taguig City, Philippines.
