John Brixter M. Tino

John Brixter Tino, a native of Perez, Quezon, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. His poetry has been recognized by the Gawad Maningning Miclat, Premyong LIRA, and Gawad Bienvenido Lumbera. He also won the Grand Prize for personal essay writing at the Gawad Rene O. Villanueva. Tino has been invited to present his poems and academic papers at the International Conference on Poetry Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. His works have been published in the Philippine Collegian, Mekong Review, Kasing Kasing Press, TLDTD Journal, and various other zines and anthologies. He has been a fellow of both the Palihang LIRA and Palihang Rogelio Sikat workshops and is a member of Kolektibo Kalimbahin.
