The UP Institute of Creative Writing is dedicated to ensuring the steady development of a national literature, by providing invaluable support for successive generations of writers through a myriad projects, among which are the annual National Writers’ Workshop, the national literature portal (website) and numerous publications.
Likhaan: The Journal of Contemporary Philippine Literature hopes to showcase the best of new and unpublished Philippine writing in English and Filipino, and welcomes other art forms like pictorial essays, translations, graphic fiction, even blog entries.
