Alyssa Danielle Navarro

Alyssa Danielle Navarro is a writer from Pulilan, Bulacan. She is currently studying Associate in Arts at the University of the Philippines Open University. She helps conduct research for sine(dis)continuity, an independent film production team that produced The River Flows in Different Places (2025).

She was recently chosen as a fellow for maikling kwento for the upcoming Palihang Rogelio Sicat 19. She was also a fellow for poetry during the March 2026 Philippines Graphic Literary Workshop. Her work has been featured in Inquirer Young Blood, Talang Dalisay, The Archipelago Press, and Mountain Beacon. Two of her poems will be included in a forthcoming anthology by Paper Trail Projects.

As co-founder of Hilway Press, she advocates for decolonial literature, informal literacy, alternative education, disability justice, collective care, and Palestinian liberation. She understands that every issue, no matter the location or scale, is interwoven and interlinked. In her spare time, she enjoys singing karaoke and eating pishbols dipped in vinegar. She believes that poetry, like bread, is for everyone.
