Carmel Ilustrisimo

Carmel Ilustrisimo is mainly a fictionist and a lecturer. She has taught senior high and college students at Thames International School, De La Salle University, and University of Santo Tomas. Her stories, poems, and essays have been featured in numerous publications, including UP’s Likhaan Journal, NCCA’s Ubod, Philippines Graphic Reader, Thomasian Writer’s Guild Bulebard, Inquirer’s YoungBlood, among others. She has a work featured in Deus Ex Manila (2025), a science fiction anthology, and a story in the upcoming anthology “Filipino Fiction for Young Adults: Crime, Mystery and Suspense” edited by Dean Alfar and Kenneth Yu. She is the author of 2nd Gen Synthetics (2023), a novella published by 8Letters Books.
